Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner

This contract position offers an opportunity to work as a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner in Reno, NV, providing comprehensive primary care to patients across all age groups during consistent weekday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive health histories and physical examinations
• Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic illnesses
• Develop individualized treatment and care plans
• Prescribe medications and manage medication therapy within state scope of practice
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other clinical studies
• Manage chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, asthma, COPD, and hyperlipidemia
• Provide preventive care including physical examinations, health screenings, and immunizations
• Provide women's, men's, adolescent, and geriatric primary care
• Evaluate and treat minor injuries, infections, respiratory illnesses, and other common conditions
• Provide patient education regarding nutrition, exercise, medications, lifestyle changes, and disease prevention
• Perform or assist with appropriate office-based procedures
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare professionals
• Review and communicate diagnostic results with patients
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR)

Schedule

• Tuesday through Thursday: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
