Experienced Registered Nurse (RN), Operating Room, Full Time, Flex Shift, Job ID #1758274

This full-time position offers the opportunity to deliver professional and technical nursing care to pediatric (over 2 years), adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will work in a collaborative operating room environment, partnering with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide age and developmentally appropriate surgical nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver surgical nursing care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Provide direct patient care to diverse age groups in the operating room setting
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during surgical procedures
• Perform nursing techniques for patient comfort and well-being
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure quality care
• Ensure nursing care complies with hospital objectives and policies
• Take emergency call as assigned by the department head
• Work assigned shifts with flexibility to work beyond regular hours as needed

Required Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN)
• Current Florida RN License
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card
• Excellent physical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English
• Visual and hearing senses adequate to assess and detect changes in human physiological conditions
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and stressful environment

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of perioperative experience

Schedule

• Full-time, flex shift position with on-call requirements as assigned by department leadership
