EMERGENCY ROOM REGISTERED NURSE

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a contract position in Tuscaloosa, AL. In this role, you will provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment, working directly on-site to stabilize patients and respond to rapid-response needs.

Clinical Setting

You will work in an emergency room environment, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency room nursing care to stabilize patients
• Triage incoming patients and prioritize care based on acuity and symptoms
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans
• Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments to evolving conditions
• Ensure accurate medication administration and prevent medication errors
• Perform and document assessments, treatments, and progress notes promptly
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements
• Utilize metrics and pipelines to track performance and identify improvement opportunities
• Provide clear handoffs to subsequent care teams for continuity of care
• Assist with patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain on-site presence and availability to meet rapid-response needs
• Demonstrate growth mindset by pursuing professional development and competency expansion

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license with active state registration
• Minimum 2 years of ER or acute care nursing experience
• Proficiency in triage, acuity assessment, and rapid decision-making
• Accurate medication administration with emphasis on safety protocols
• Strong documentation habits using EHRs with prompt progress notes
• Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced, high-visibility ER environment
• Collaborative mindset with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Demonstrated growth mindset with ongoing professional development
• Ability to use metrics and pipelines to track performance and outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

• Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
