Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our emergency medicine team in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. You will provide clinical care in a 44-bed emergency department with fast track capabilities, serving a diverse patient population including pediatric patients who receive 8 hours of dedicated emergency room coverage daily.

Clinical Setting

Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is a 309-bed HCA level 2 trauma facility with a comprehensive range of services including a 33-bed Medical ICU (plus 8 additional CVICU beds), advanced surgical capabilities with stealth navigation and Mazor spine robot technology, and a certified primary stroke center working toward comprehensive stroke certification. The facility is the area's only accredited Chest Pain Center and offers cardiac programs including open heart surgery, Watchman procedures, and TAVR. The hospital has been named among the top 10% in the nation by Healthgrades for cardiac surgery, joint replacement, and patient safety, and is listed as the 4th highest in the nation for infection prevention by Consumer Reports.

Required Qualifications

• Board certification through NCCPA or AANP/ANCC
• One year of emergency room experience as an Advanced Practice Provider
• Must obtain ATLS certification within six months of starting
