Cambridge Health Alliance is seeking a Certified Nurse-Midwife Director to lead midwifery and Nurse Practitioner practices across our clinics, birth center, and hospital. In this role, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care for birthing patients and newborns while managing clinical and administrative responsibilities for a multidisciplinary team. You will work closely with Ob/Gyn, Family Medicine, and Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians as part of our award-winning maternity care team, serving an ethnically and socio-economically diverse patient population in Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston's metro North region.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate, and personalized care for birthing patients and newborns
- Collaborate with operational, nursing, and provider leadership to facilitate strategic vision and Birth Center operations
- Execute directives while managing the inherent pressures of a multi-faceted, high-volume healthcare setting
- Develop and refine clinical processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Foster a robust High Reliability Organization (HRO) safety culture, prioritizing proactive reporting, transparency, and continuous learning
- Manage scheduling, recruitment, compliance, evaluation, and development for CNMs and Nurse Practitioners across OBGYN clinical sites
- Partner with operational leadership to serve as a resource for the utilization and productivity of CNMs and NPs, including identifying benchmarks to evaluate performance
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Active registered nurse license
- Certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board
- Current Basic Life Support "C" certification
- Current NPR status
- Minimum 2 years of experience with administrative oversight, managing fiscal responsibilities, and supervising staff
- 5 years of experience providing full scope midwifery care as a certified nurse-midwife (ideally)

Compensation
- Salary range: $184,000 to $310,000 based on candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations
