Dialysis RN Registered Nurse

Norwalk Care Center is seeking a Dialysis RN Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care to individuals undergoing dialysis treatment. In this role, you will manage dialysis treatments that filter waste and excess fluid from the blood, monitor patient vital signs, and ensure safe operation of dialysis equipment.

Responsibilities

• Administer dialysis treatments and monitor patients' vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature) before, during, and after treatment
• Set up, monitor, and manage dialysis machines during treatment, ensuring proper settings and patient safety
• Administer medications to manage blood pressure, anemia, and other conditions related to kidney disease
• Evaluate patients' responses to dialysis treatment, identify adverse reactions, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
• Prepare patients for treatment, ensure comfort, and provide post-treatment care and education
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction

Required Qualifications

• Active Connecticut RN license
• Minimum one year of nursing experience
