Day Interventional Radiologist - Southwest Medical Imaging

Southwest Medical Imaging (SMIL) is seeking a fellowship-trained Interventional Radiologist to join a well-established, multi-specialty radiology practice in Scottsdale, Arizona. This position offers the opportunity to work in a physician-owned practice with strong clinical excellence and superior service across imaging and intervention.

Clinical Setting

SMIL is a 70+ subspecialized radiology practice that owns and operates nearly 20 outpatient imaging centers in the Phoenix Valley area and serves a healthcare network consisting of 6 hospitals. The practice has dedicated resources for IT support, communications, and physician support coordinators to ensure efficient workflow.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of interventional procedures with strong procedural skills and expertise
• Conduct advanced procedures including bleeding management, atherectomy, kyphoplasty, and related interventional techniques
• Allocate a minimum of 80% of work time to interventional radiology
• Participate in shared call responsibility and on-call duties
• Utilize PowerScribe, InteleRad, and Epic systems to support efficient, connected workflow across reporting, imaging, and clinical systems
• No mammography, nuclear medicine, or musculoskeletal imaging responsibilities

Schedule

• Shift assignment, call responsibility, and vacation allotment are shared equally among physicians

Required Qualifications

• Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology or completion of an Integrated IR residency
• Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary range: $550,000 to $700,000 (final determination based on education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location)
