Day Interventional Radiologist - Alaska Radiology Associates

Alaska Radiology Associates, Alaska's largest private practice radiology group, is seeking a fellowship-trained Interventional Radiologist to join our well-established multi-specialty practice in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a full-time position on a partnership track, offering generous compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Clinical Setting

We provide full-spectrum imaging and interventional services for the largest hospital in Alaska as well as outpatient imaging centers in Anchorage, Eagle River, and the Mat-Su Valley. We also deliver teleradiology services throughout Alaska and provide both teleradiology and onsite services in Kodiak Island.

Position Options

Full-Time Onsite Position:

Work year-round in Anchorage with a mix of interventional radiology and diagnostic radiology. Schedule includes 13-17 weeks per year of interventional radiology with IR call, and remaining weeks of diagnostic radiology Monday through Friday (8am-5pm, 11am-7pm, or 3pm-10pm shifts). No diagnostic radiology weekend shifts.

Part-Time Onsite Position:

Work 26 weeks per year onsite in Anchorage with housing and car provided. Mix of daytime cath lab interventional radiology with overnight IR call and general diagnostic radiology including hospital-based body procedures (biopsies and drains). No diagnostic radiology weekend shifts or diagnostic radiology call.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional radiology procedures including vascular, biliary, renal, body, and interventional oncology cases
• Perform general radiology procedures including CT and ultrasound-guided soft tissue biopsy and drains, lumbar puncture, arthrogram injections, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Provide diagnostic radiology services as assigned by the practice
• Collaborate with referring providers and hospital staff

Required Qualifications

• Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology
• Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology
• Competency in CT and ultrasound-guided soft tissue biopsy and drains

Preferred Qualifications

• CAQ (Certificate of Added Qualification) in Interventional Radiology

Education and Certification

• MD or DO degree
• Completion of accredited radiology residency
• Completion of accredited interventional radiology fellowship

Compensation and Benefits

Full-Time Onsite Position:

• Salary: $750,000-$800,000
• Sign-on bonus: $60,000 or fellowship stipend
• Benefits package valued at over $100,000 including malpractice insurance, disability insurance, health insurance with HSA option, 401(k), and CME allowance
• Eligible for annual discretionary bonus

Part-Time Onsite Position (26 weeks/year):

• Salary: $500,000
• Sign-on bonus: $60,000 or fellowship stipend
• Benefits package valued at $100,000 (total compensation $600,000)
• Housing and car provided during onsite weeks
