The opportunity
Job Description
UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room in The Villages, Florida. In this part-time role, you will work variable days and hours to provide an aseptic environment within the perioperative setting. You will support routine surgical and diagnostic cases while maintaining the highest standards of surgical conscience and aseptic technique.
Responsibilities
- Provide an aseptic environment within the perioperative arena
- Support routine surgical and diagnostic cases
- Work under the direction of the Director, Manager, Charge Nurse, and RNs
- Maintain surgical conscience and adherence to sterile protocols
Schedule
- Part-time (0.50 FTE)
- Variable days and hours
- On-call coverage required
- Location: The Villages, FL
Required Qualifications
- Surgical Technology certification or LPN license
- BLS certification
- Post-high school special training
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
