CNA/Certified Nursing Assistant

Nova Leap Home Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care in home settings. As a CNA, you will work as a paraprofessional member of the healthcare team, assisting clients with activities of daily living, personal hygiene, meal preparation, transfers, ambulation, and light housekeeping tasks including shopping, cooking, laundry, and cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with all activities of daily living and personal hygiene
• Prepare meals according to the patient's prescribed diet
• Assist clients with feeding as outlined in the plan of care
• Assist clients with transfers and ambulation as needed
• Perform light housekeeping chores including general cleaning, dusting, and mopping
• Ensure client safety and use equipment safely and properly
• Complete medical records accurately and carry out all assignments as requested
• Notify your supervisor of any acute or pertinent changes in client condition
• Maintain confidentiality regarding client conditions and family information
• Follow all Universal Precaution protocols

Required Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• Graduation from a CNA training course
• Minimum of one year of experience (preferably in home care settings)
• Access to reliable transportation
• Ability to read and follow written or verbal instructions
• Ability to document care provided
• Commitment to adhering to all Nova Leap Home Health policies
• Ability to maintain current CNA certification

Physical Requirements

• Good emotional health and ability to tolerate physically demanding activities such as standing, bending, and stooping
• Sufficient strength to turn, lift, and assist patients with activities of daily living
