CNA, Nursing Assistant, Certified, Assisted Living - PT Days!

GSS NE Superior Victorian is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in an assisted living environment. This part-time position offers 8-hour day shifts with 8 weekly hours in Superior, Nebraska.

You will serve as a caregiver to residents during your scheduled work period, providing daily living assistance and basic health care support under the supervision of a charge nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and undressing
• Obtain and record vital signs
• Provide psychosocial support and personal care to assigned residents
• Assist residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct transfer techniques and equipment
• Provide range of motion and passive exercises as appropriate
• Assist with food preparation and dining, creating a positive dining experience
• Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate
• Aid providers and nursing staff with procedures and collect non-invasive body fluid specimens
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and within scope of practice as defined by state regulations
• Document outcomes related to resident care, medication administration, behavior, activity, and dietary intake
• Communicate changing conditions, medication follow-up, and care-related concerns to the charge nurse
• Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with maintaining clean living areas
• Assist with and document wellness and recreational programs, encouraging resident participation
• Deliver age-appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs per the care/service plan
• Provide care to residents with dementia as needed depending on facility location
• Follow infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use

Assisted living facility serving seniors in a Christian environment.

Schedule and Shifts

• Part-time position
• 8-hour day shifts
• 8 hours per week
• May be required to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays based on nursing area and facility location needs
• Shift assignments made based on staffing availability and resident census
• Committee meeting attendance may be expected

Required Qualifications

• Minimum age 16
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
• Satisfactory completion of yearly department-specific competency testing
• Maintenance of continuing education credits; minimum 12 hours annually required
• Maintenance of all department-specific required certifications
• When applicable for applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry
• Depending on facility and required responsibilities, may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor vehicle report, proof of valid driver's license, and medical qualification to perform essential driving functions per Sanford Driving Policy

Preferred Qualifications

• High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED)
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in assisted living

Compensation

• Salary range: $17.00 - $25.50 per hour
