CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including mobility, hygiene, feeding, and comfort measures
• Record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
• Observe residents and report changes in condition to nursing staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
• Help create a positive, compassionate environment for residents and families

Physical Demands and Environment

Shift work may be required. You will frequently stand, walk, lift, and transfer residents weighing between 100 and 250 pounds. You will use hands or fingers, reach with hands and arms, see, hear, and talk. You may occasionally be exposed to blood or other body fluids, fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. You may be required to work beyond your regularly scheduled shift.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or related experience and/or training
• Successful completion of a State-Approved Nursing Assistant Program
• Active North Carolina CNA Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience
