CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant - PT - Nights - St. Vincent's

St. Vincent Care Center in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for part-time night shifts in our long-term care facility. This position provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and undressing
• Obtain and record vital signs
• Assist residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct transfer techniques and equipment
• Provide range of motion and passive exercises
• Assist with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements, and create a positive dining experience
• Provide psychosocial support and personal care to assigned residents
• Aid providers and nursing staff with procedures as needed
• Document resident interactions, care outcomes, behavior, activity, and dietary information
• Communicate residents' changing conditions and care-related concerns to the charge nurse
• Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens
• Provide housekeeping and laundry services to maintain clean living areas
• Assist with and document wellness and recreational programs, encouraging resident participation
• Participate in departmental committees and task forces as needed

Schedule

• Part-time position
• 8-hour night shifts
• 8 hours per week
• Night, weekend, and pick-up shift differentials available

Required Qualifications

• Minimum age 16
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state-certified CNA within four months of hire date by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through endorsement
• CNA training and certification provided by facility
• Satisfactory completion of yearly department-specific competency testing
• Maintenance of continuing education credits; minimum 12 hours annually
• Maintenance of all department-specific required certifications
• When applicable, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry
• May require valid driver's license and motor vehicle report depending on facility requirements and driving responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care
