Hutchinson Village is a 65-bed senior skilled nursing facility specializing in long-term and post-acute care services. We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse.
This is a part-time evening position, working roughly two days per week from 5 p.m. to midnight, for a total of 13 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct resident care including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing and undressing
- Obtain and record vital signs
- Assist residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct transfer techniques and equipment
- Provide range of motion and passive exercises
- Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate
- Create a positive dining experience during meal times
- Provide housekeeping and laundry services to maintain clean living areas
- Assist with food preparation and dining tasks
- Provide psychosocial support and personal care to assigned residents
- Aid providers and nursing staff with procedures as needed
- Document resident interactions, care outcomes, behavior, activity, and dietary information
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns to the charge nurse
- Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens
- Assist with and document wellness and recreational programs, encouraging resident participation
- Follow infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use
- Participate in departmental or organizational committees and task forces as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 16
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of hire date by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through endorsement
- Satisfactory completion of yearly department-specific competency testing
- Maintenance of a record of continuing education credits, with a minimum of 12 hours required annually
- Maintenance of all department-specific required certifications
- When applicable for the state, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle report (may be required depending on facility and role responsibilities)
- Medical qualification to perform essential driving functions per facility driving policy
- Satisfactory drug screen and pre-employment background screening

- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care

- Part-time, evening shifts
