As a Certified Nursing Assistant at New Horizons Habersham, you will provide direct and indirect resident care under the supervision of an RN or LPN. This full-time position serves adult and geriatric patients in a long-term care setting, focusing on activities of daily living, personal care, comfort, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Morning and afternoon rotation

Responsibilities
- Make care rounds and report pertinent information as appropriate
- Take vital signs and administer tube feedings
- Provide personal care including bathing, shampooing, nail care, and mouth care as directed by the patient's plan of care
- Assist patients with self-help skills and maintain a neat and clean immediate environment
- Utilize proper body mechanics and provide positioning, mobility, and comfort assistance
- Contribute to patient safety and report potential problems to the Patient Care Manager, RN, or Therapist
- Ensure resident equipment is accessible, including call bells, water pitchers, and assistive devices
- Complete resident activity and other worksheets appropriately
- Store equipment and supplies in compliance with policies and procedures
- Report all complaints and grievances from patients or family members to the charge nurse, ADON, DON, or Administrator
- Store resident personal items properly
- Assist with washing resident clothing
- Run errands to other departments as requested
- Assist with housekeeping duties such as cleaning tables and refrigerators as needed
Required Qualifications
- Current Georgia Certified Nursing Assistant licensure
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of nursing assistant-related experience
