Good Samaritan Estes Park is a 30-bed assisted living facility specializing in long-term care services. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a charge nurse.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic health care assistance including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing and undressing
- Obtain and record vital signs
- Assist residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct transfer techniques and equipment
- Provide range of motion and passive exercises
- Assist with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate
- Create a positive dining experience for residents
- Aid providers and nursing staff with procedures and collect non-invasive body fluid specimens
- Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and within scope of practice as defined by state regulations
- Document outcomes related to resident care, medication administration, behavior, activity, and dietary intake
- Communicate changing conditions, medication follow-up, and care-related concerns to the charge nurse
- Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational
- Assist with and document wellness and recreational programs, encouraging resident participation
- Provide age-appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs per the care and service plan
- Provide care to residents with dementia as needed
- Follow infection prevention and control policies and proper Personal Protective Equipment use

Schedule and Shifts
- Full-time position, 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts: 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am
- Rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays required
- Shift assignments based on nursing area needs and resident census
- Committee meeting attendance may be expected
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age 16
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
- Satisfactory completion of yearly department-specific competency testing
- Maintenance of continuing education credits; minimum 12 hours annually required
- Maintenance of all department-specific required certifications
- When applicable for the state, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry
- Depending on facility and required responsibilities, may require a valid driver's license and motor vehicle report as a Sanford Category II Driver, with medical qualification to perform essential driving functions
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in assisted living
Compensation
- Salary range: $18.25 to $26.75 per hour
- Direct access to earnings daily
