CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant - FT Days

Hutchinson Village is a 65-bed senior skilled nursing facility specializing in long-term and post-acute care services. We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Clinical Setting

Hutchinson Village serves seniors requiring long-term and post-acute care in a compassionate, resident-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care assistance including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and undressing
• Obtain and record vital signs
• Assist residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct transfer techniques and equipment
• Provide range of motion and passive exercises
• Assist with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements, and create a positive dining experience
• Support food preparation and dining activities
• Provide psychosocial support and companionship to residents
• Aid nursing staff and providers with procedures as needed
• Document resident interactions, care outcomes, behavior, activity, and dietary information
• Communicate residents' changing conditions and care-related concerns to the charge nurse
• Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens
• Provide housekeeping and laundry services to maintain clean living areas
• Assist with and document wellness and recreational programs, encouraging resident participation
• Maintain knowledge of and comply with infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use
• Participate in departmental and organizational committees and task forces as needed

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Day shifts, 8 hours per day
• 40 hours per week

Compensation

• Salary range: $17.00 to $25.50 per hour

Required Qualifications

• Minimum age of 16
• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of hire date by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through endorsement
• CNA training and certification provided by facility
• Satisfactory completion of yearly department-specific competency testing
• Maintenance of a record of continuing education credits, with a minimum of 12 hours required annually
• Maintenance of all department-specific required certifications
• When applicable for your state, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry
• Depending on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver, requiring a motor vehicle report, proof of valid driver's license, and medical qualification to perform essential driving functions per Sanford Driving Policy
