Clinic - Nurse Practitioner - Per Diem

St. Mary's Physician Care is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a per diem position in our clinic setting. You will provide general care to patients of all ages, working within your scope of practice to conduct assessments, record medical histories, provide treatments, prescribe medications, and assist physicians with patient care.

Clinical Setting

• Open ICU clinic environment
• Affiliated with St. Mary's Medical Center

Responsibilities

• Provide general care to patients of all ages with patience, care, and compassion
• Conduct patient assessments and tests
• Record and maintain medical histories
• Provide treatments and prescribe medications within scope of practice
• Assist physicians with rounding and admissions
• Manage 18-20 patients per shift
• Work under Collaborative Practice Agreement
• Enhance public awareness on the importance of health

Schedule

• Per diem employment
• 12-hour shifts
• 7pm-7am (night shifts)

Required Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with specialization as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (ARNP)
• Current state license as an Advanced Practice Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire and maintained current
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in an inpatient hospitalist setting

Preferred Qualifications

• One to two years of experience as a nurse practitioner
• Previous experience with electronic health records
