Charge Registered Nurse, Main Operating Room, Weekends, Baptist Downtown

This position is a Charge Registered Nurse role in the Main Operating Room at Baptist Downtown, working a weekend schedule. You will provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—while coordinating and supervising care provided by supportive personnel and ancillary services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prepare assigned operating room cases
• Assess patient care needs and anticipate requirements for each case
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process
• Supervise care provided by supportive personnel
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
• Include patients and significant others/families in developing individualized plans of care
• Educate patients, significant others, and families regarding disease processes and plans of care
• Fulfill charge nurse duties and responsibilities
