Certified Surgical Tech - Operating Room - Days

Endeavor Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Main Operating Room at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic surgical environment supporting physicians and surgical teams across a variety of procedures.

Clinical Setting

You will work in the main operating room of an acute care hospital recognized as a Magnet facility for nursing excellence. Endeavor Health is a fully integrated healthcare delivery system serving more than 4.2 million residents across six northeast Illinois counties with eight acute care hospitals and more than 300 ambulatory locations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and obtain required surgical instrumentation, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures based on physician requests and patient needs
• Exchange drug trays as needed under the direction of licensed medical staff
• Inspect, properly care for, and handle surgical instrumentation and equipment appropriately
• Perform scrub responsibilities according to physician preference and hospital policies and procedures
• Anticipate and attend to the surgeon's needs for instruments, ligatures, sponges, irrigation, and other supplies during surgical procedures
• Provide a safe environment and communicate effectively with patients of all ages, from pediatric through geriatric populations

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved surgical technology program
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• Previous experience in surgery or on-the-job experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in surgical technology

Schedule

• Full time, 40 hours per week
• Day shift with weekends as needed
• No travel required

Compensation

• Hourly pay range: $26.61 - $39.92
• Pay rate is determined by candidate expertise and years of experience, among other factors
