CERTIFIED SURGICAL TECH (CST)- OPERATING ROOM (OR)

Wellington Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician for a full-time day shift position in the Operating Room. This is a 40-hour per week role offering full benefits. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in vascular and orthopedic surgical procedures.

Clinical Setting

Wellington Regional Medical Center is a 235-bed acute care hospital located in Wellington, Florida, accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital has served Palm Beach County since 1986 and is owned by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc.

Responsibilities

• Function as a cooperative team member in the Surgical Services department
• Provide constant technical assistance to the surgeon within scope of practice
• Follow current professional practice standards, rules, and regulations set forth by AORN and AST
• Be willing to cross-train and float to meet institutional needs

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical technology program or equivalent
• Surgical Technician certification
• Minimum six months of operating room experience
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
• Experience in vascular and orthopedic surgery

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
