Certified Pharmacy Technician IV Oncology Infusion Center

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician IV for the Oncology Infusion Center. This PRN position supports enterprise-level pharmacy operations across two infusion center locations in the Chicago area, with a focus on inventory management, controlled substance oversight, medication safety, and supply chain operations.

Clinical Setting

This role covers two locations:

• Bolingbrook Infusion Center, 396 Remington Blvd, Bolingbrook, IL 60440
• Hinsdale Infusion Center, 1 Salt Creek Lane, Hinsdale, IL

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-level inventory operations, including procurement processes, formulary alignment, and perpetual inventory accuracy
• Oversee controlled substance programs, diversion prevention efforts, and compliance with DEA and institutional policies
• Conduct advanced audits and operations reviews to advise on inventory integrity analytics, cost containment strategies, medication shortage mitigation, and supply chain resilience
• Lead system-wide medication safety initiatives, including risk mitigation, error prevention, and safety education
• Facilitate root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts

Schedule

PRN (as needed), Monday through Friday, no weekends.

Shifts available:

• 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 or more years of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience
• Active state pharmacy technician registration
• Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) license in the applicable jurisdiction
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program
• Technical or vocational school training

Compensation

$22.26 - $35.62 per hour
