Certified Nursing Assistant(CNA)

Morrow County Health District is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide quality nursing care at Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner, Oregon. You will work collaboratively with nurses and clinical professionals to coordinate patient care across multiple hospital departments and report pertinent information to the registered nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse on duty.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a non-profit Oregon Special District healthcare system that serves Morrow County through a hospital in Heppner, clinics in Heppner, Irrigon and Ione, an immediate care clinic in Boardman, and ambulance, home health and hospice services. As a CNA, you will be required to have skills and knowledge to work in all areas of the hospital, including Inpatient, Outpatient, Swing Bed, Non-Skilled Swing Bed, and the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to patients
• Collaborate with nurses and clinical professionals
• Coordinate care within the hospital
• Report pertinent information to the registered nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse on duty
• Assist patients within the scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing
• Interact professionally with physicians, patients, family members, personnel from other healthcare organizations, co-workers, and the general public
• Demonstrate understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures

Required Qualifications

• Current Oregon CNA license
• BLS certification

Schedule

• Full-time position
• 12-hour work schedule, 3 days per week on day shift
• Schedule may vary
• $2.00/hr night shift differential
