Woodland Village Nursing Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to deliver routine daily nursing care to assigned residents on a PRN (as-needed) basis during day shifts. You will work as part of the nursing team, assisting with patient care in accordance with facility policies, state regulations, and established nursing care procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, personal grooming, feeding, and toileting
- Support meal service and supplements to residents
- Assist with resident recreation programs
- Provide residents with help walking, exercising, and bed positioning
- Clean resident rooms and change linens
- Observe residents' conditions and measure and record food and liquid intake and output
- Measure and record vital signs and report changes to professional staff
- Assist with range of motion, turning, positioning, ambulation, and assistive devices
- Document care provisions on designated records, maintaining detailed daily logs
- Explain medical instructions to residents and family members
- Assist with transporting residents to off-site treatment facilities
- Participate as part of the medical team that examines and provides care for residents
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program
- Valid Mississippi Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
- One year of experience as a nursing assistant or in a similar role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with and educate residents
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, clinical staff, and providers
- Ability to work independently as well as lead a team
- Ability to interpret provider or healthcare team orders and carry them out as requested
- Resident and customer service orientation with professionalism and socio-economic and cultural sensitivity
