Certified Nursing Assistant- University Inpatient Hospital, PRN (3220)

Brooks Rehabilitation is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to provide direct and indirect patient care in our inpatient hospital setting. Working under the supervision and direction of nursing staff, you will serve as a vital link between patients and their healthcare team, supporting quality of life and patient comfort.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and meals
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for patients
• Respond to patient call lights in a timely manner
• Obtain vital signs as directed by the plan of care, including temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, and noninvasive oxygen saturation
• Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Provide physical and emotional support to patients under nurse supervision
• Support patients' dietary and fluid needs, including feeding and maintaining accurate fluid intake and output records
• Document observations and care provided according to hospital policies and procedures
• Complete electronic medical record documentation as needed

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year of experience as a CNA or PCT in a short-term skilled nursing facility, acute care, or post-acute care inpatient hospital
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to attend a full week of orientation and training, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
