Certified Nursing Assistant, Surgical Short Stay, Part Time, Evening Shift

Adventist Health Portland is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Surgical Short Stay unit. In this part-time, evening shift role, you will provide direct personal nursing care to patients under the supervision of a licensed registered nurse. You will assist patients with activities of daily living and perform routine clinical tasks while monitoring and reporting on patient status and concerns.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including nutrition and hydration, elimination, personal care, positioning, use of devices and restraints, and restorative care
• Take vital signs including pulse and blood pressure
• Help patients with basic needs such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Perform clerical duties including routing patient reports as appropriate
• Use organizational and prioritization skills to support unit operations and meet deadlines
• Provide assessment data to the certified nurse within your scope of practice, including vital signs and observations of patient verbal and nonverbal responses
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Schedule

• Part-time, evening shift

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy

Additional Requirements
