Certified Nursing Assistant (Surgical Recovery) Per Diem, Day Shift

Adventist Health Tillamook is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Surgical Recovery unit on a per diem, day shift basis. You will provide direct personal nursing care to patients under the supervision of a licensed registered nurse, assisting with activities of daily living and routine clinical tasks while monitoring and reporting on patient status and concerns.

Clinical Setting

Adventist Health Tillamook is a 25-bed critical access medical center located off the Oregon Coast. The facility has served the Tillamook County area since 1950 and offers rural health services, urgent care, home care, and a comprehensive scope of healthcare services throughout the region.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including nutrition and hydration, elimination, personal care, positioning, and restorative care
• Take and record vital signs, including pulse and blood pressure
• Help patients with bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Perform clerical duties, including routing patient reports as appropriate
• Use organizational and prioritization skills to support unit operations and meet deadlines
• Provide assessment data to the certified nurse within your scope of practice, including vital signs and observations of patient verbal and nonverbal responses
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Education or GED or equivalent
