Certified Nursing Assistant (Per Diem, Variable Shift)

Adventist Health White Memorial is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed registered nurse. This per diem, variable shift position is based at our 353-bed hospital in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, where you will support patients with their daily activities and assist the nursing team in delivering quality care.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including nutrition, hydration, elimination, personal care, positioning, and restorative care
• Take vital signs including pulse and blood pressure
• Help patients with bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Perform clerical duties including routing patient reports and maintaining organizational skills to support unit operations
• Provide assessment data to the certified nurse, including vital signs and observations of patient verbal and nonverbal responses, within the scope of practice
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification (California and Hawaii)
• Audiometry and vision training or certificate from CHDP (California and Hawaii)
