Certified Nursing Assistant (Per Diem, Night Shift)

Adventist Health White Memorial, a 353-bed hospital in Boyle Heights, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for per diem, night shift work. In this role, you will provide personal nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed registered nurse, assisting with activities of daily living and routine clinical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including nutrition and hydration, elimination, personal care, positioning, devices, restraints, and restorative care
• Take vital signs including pulse and blood pressure
• Help patients with basic needs such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Perform clerical duties including routing patient reports as appropriate
• Use organizational and prioritization skills to keep the unit running smoothly and meet deadlines
• Provide assessment data to the certified nurse within the scope of practice, including vital signs and patient verbal and nonverbal responses
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High school education or GED (preferred)
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification (in CA and HI)
• Audiometry and vision training or certificate from CHDP (in CA and HI)
