Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support the medical, surgical, and orthopedic unit. This is a 0.6 FTE position working nights (3rd shift) with 12-hour shifts.
The Medical Surgical Unit consists of two areas: a 24-bed Orthopedic Center of Excellence focusing on total hip, shoulder, and knee replacements and orthopedic fractures, and an 11-bed unit serving medical and general surgical patients. The unit cares for patients with conditions including sepsis, cardiac issues, stroke, renal disease, CHF, COPD, respiratory illnesses, appendectomy, and small bowel obstructions. Patient management may include telemetry monitoring, continuous medication infusions, wound care, and various tubes and drains.
The unit includes approximately 60 staff members—CNAs, RNs, and Unit Clerks—supported by a Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Educator, and Operations Coordinator. The team emphasizes patient-focused care, shared governance, and continuous improvement.
