Certified Nursing Assistant - Medical Unit - Nights

Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Medical Unit on the night shift. In this role, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assessing and implementing care within the scope of your training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, and walking patients
• Take vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, and pulse oximetry
• Perform adult bedside blood glucose monitoring when appropriate
• Turn and reposition patients to prevent skin breakdown
• Change bed linens as necessary
• Transport patients and equipment within the facility
• Keep records of care provided
• Monitor patients and report any variances to the RN for further assessment
• Participate in bedside shift reports
• Answer and relay patient calls, accept and relay communications, perform clerical tasks, and complete and maintain reports and records
• Order and stock supplies as needed
• Work collaboratively with the RN in charge and other departments to meet patient and organizational needs

Required Qualifications

• Current Wyoming Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license from the Wyoming State Board of Nursing
• Cheyenne Regional AHA RQI certification within fourteen (14) calendar days of start date

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior acute care experience
• Six (6) or more months of experience as a CNA
