Certified Nursing Assistant, Long Term Care (Part-Time, Night Shift)

Adventist Health Delano is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for part-time, night shift work in our long-term care setting. You will provide direct personal nursing care to patients under the supervision of a licensed registered nurse, assisting with activities of daily living and routine patient care tasks.

Clinical Setting

Adventist Health Delano is a 156-bed medical center serving 10 rural Central California cities with primary and specialty care services. This position is based in our long-term care unit.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks associated with activities of daily living, including assisting with nutrition and hydration, elimination, personal care, positioning devices, restraints, and restorative care
• Take vital signs including pulse and blood pressure
• Help patients with basic needs such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Perform clerical duties including routing patient reports as appropriate
• Use organizational and prioritization skills to keep the unit running smoothly and meet deadlines
• Provide assessment data to the certified nurse within the scope of practice, including vital signs and patient verbal and nonverbal responses
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Schedule

• Part-time, night shift

Required Qualifications

• High school education or GED (preferred)
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification (in CA and HI)
• Audiometry and vision training or certificate from CHDP (in CA and HI)
