Certified Nursing Assistant

Holy Cross Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the Medical/Surgical unit at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland. In this role, you will work in a collaborative environment delivering patient care assistance under the supervision and direction of licensed healthcare professionals. You will support patients with basic to complex care needs while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential duties as delegated by a licensed nurse, assisting with basic to complex patient care needs
• Participate in direct one-to-one patient observation to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment
• Assist the care team with detailed record-keeping, clear communication, and support for patients and families
• Function in either the Nursing Assistant or Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) role as assigned
• Report pertinent information to your immediate supervisor and assist with tasks supporting department operations

Schedule

• Full-time position, 36 hours weekly
• Day shift: 7pm-7am
• 12-hour shifts

Required Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant by the Maryland State Board
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of CNA experience in an acute care setting
