Certified Nursing Assistant, Full-Time Night Shift 7pm - 7am

Maple Grove Senior Living in Shelbyville, Kentucky is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time night shift position (7pm - 7am). You will provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents across our Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Personal Care communities. Working under the direction of the licensed nursing team, you will assist residents with activities of daily living, monitor their well-being, and help create a safe, welcoming environment where every resident feels respected and valued.

Clinical Setting

Maple Grove Senior Living is a 2025 Best of Kentucky Award Recipient with a 4-Star CMS Quality Measures Rating. We serve older adults in skilled nursing, assisted living, and personal care settings, including individuals living with dementia or complex medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
• Support residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation while promoting safety and independence
• Observe, monitor, and promptly report changes in resident condition to the licensed nursing team
• Assist with meals, hydration, and nutritional support while encouraging resident independence whenever possible
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and visitors
• Document resident care accurately and communicate concerns to licensed nursing staff
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families while providing compassionate emotional support
• Follow infection prevention practices, resident rights, and all safety policies and procedures
• Collaborate with nurses and the interdisciplinary care team to provide exceptional resident-centered care
• Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented environment that supports quality outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Current Kentucky State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or currently enrolled in a state-approved Nurse Aide Training Program (must obtain certification within four months in accordance with state requirements)
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the nursing team
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing and walking, bending, pushing, pulling, transferring residents, and assisting with activities of daily living

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in skilled nursing, assisted living, personal care, rehabilitation, hospital, or long-term care settings
• Experience caring for older adults, including individuals living with dementia or complex medical conditions
• Knowledge of infection prevention, resident rights, and person-centered care practices
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) or point-of-care documentation systems
• Strong customer service skills
