The Preserve Rehabilitation and Living Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care to residents in our assisted living, memory support, and skilled care environments. You will work under the direction of clinical supervisors, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and licensed therapists to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of our residents.
Clinical Setting
The Preserve is part of Volunteers of America National Services and is located in Fort Myers, Florida. We provide assisted living, memory support, and skilled care services including post-acute rehabilitation and long-term care. The facility is recognized among the Best Nursing Homes by U.S. News & World Report.
Responsibilities
- Provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with established facility nursing care procedures
- Report any observed changes in resident condition as they occur
- Perform routine resident care duties and tasks delegated by the registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, or licensed therapist
- Meet the physical and psychosocial needs of residents
- Provide services in compliance with all state and federal regulations and facility policies and procedures
- Utilize computers and other electronic devices for timekeeping, in-servicing, and documentation
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- State-approved nursing assistant course completion and certification, or current enrollment in an approved course per state guidelines
- Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the job without harm to self or others
- Ability to prioritize duties
- Ability to understand and follow work assignments
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing, and documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a long-term care environment
