Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Shower Aide

Portside Health & Rehab Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Shower Aide to provide direct care to residents in a skilled nursing facility setting. In this role, you will support residents with daily activities including bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining a safe, comfortable environment and providing emotional and social support.

Clinical Setting

You will work at Portside Health & Rehab Center, located at 4201 Greenwood Drive, Portsmouth, VA 23701. This is a skilled nursing facility where you will care for residents requiring assistance with activities of daily living.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents as assigned in accordance with their care plan and supervisor direction
• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Attend to residents' physical needs and comfort
• Maintain a safe environment for residents
• Provide emotional and social support
• Follow all health, sanitary, and infection control policies
• Maintain established standards of practice set forth by the facility's administration and nursing policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as directed by facility representatives

Required Qualifications

• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in good standing, registered in Virginia or possessing the requirements to work as a Nursing Assistant under Virginia state law
• High school diploma or GED, or active enrollment in a high school program (guidance and resources available to help you earn your GED)

Schedule

• Full-time and part-time opportunities available
• Shifts: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Compensation

• Wage: $21.00 to $24.00 per hour
• Daily pay option available (receive payment as soon as tomorrow for work completed today)
• Weekly pay schedule option available
