Certified Nursing Assistant CNA Urgent Hire

Right at Home - Monterey Bay is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants and Personal Care Assistants to provide direct care to seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes. This is an immediate opening with flexible scheduling available throughout the week.

In this role, you will assist clients with activities of daily living and help maintain their independence and quality of life. You will work in clients' homes across the Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, and Soquel areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transferring and moving clients throughout their home
• Provide bathing, showering, dressing, and shaving assistance
• Prepare meals and snacks according to client instructions
• Accompany clients on errands and medical appointments
• Provide medication reminders
• Assist with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Provide dementia care support
• Engage in companionship activities such as reading, music, and puzzles
• Perform housekeeping activities (no more than 20% of time), including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, dishes, changing bed linens, laundry, and bathroom cleaning

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• One year of caregiving experience (family members or professional)
• Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
• Willingness to commute to Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, and Soquel areas
• Pass a background check
• Willingness to complete all onboarding paperwork

Preferred Qualifications

• CNA license
• Home Health Aide certification
• Personal Care Aide certification

Schedule and Shifts

• Day and night shifts available
• Work available every day of the week

• Pay rate: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
