We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct and indirect resident care in a long-term care facility. You will work under the direction of licensed nurses to support the health, safety, and dignity of our residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, oral care, and dressing
- Help residents with bowel and bladder functions and maintain continence care
- Collect specimens (urine, sputum, stools) as directed
- Perform and document vital signs including blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature, pulse, respirations, weight, and height
- Assist with resident mobility, ambulation, and transfers using proper gait belt and body mechanics techniques
- Make beds and change linens as scheduled or when soiled
- Prepare residents for meals, serve and remove trays, and assist with feeding and fluid intake
- Transport residents to and from meals, appointments, activities, and social programs both inside and outside the facility
- Answer resident call lights promptly and check assigned residents routinely
- Organize and maintain resident rooms
- Assist with admission and discharge of residents
- Provide care for dying residents and post-mortem care
- Report any observed changes in resident condition or behavior to the Charge Nurse
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident and family information
- Comply with facility, safety, and nursing department policies and procedures
- Report witnessed or reported allegations of resident abuse, neglect, exploitation, or misappropriation of resident property immediately to the Administrator or supervisor
- Complete required documentation of care and services provided
- Give report to oncoming shift per facility policy
- Attend mandatory trainings and meetings
Required Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification in good standing with the State
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work beyond normal working hours, weekends, and holidays when necessary
- Ability to assist in resident evacuation during emergency situations
- Ability to see and hear or use prosthetics that enable adequate sensory function
- Ability to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes hostile individuals

Schedule
- Regular worksite attendance required
- May not leave assigned shift until supervisor releases you
