Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The Orchards Michigan in Big Rapids is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to provide direct care support to residents in our long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including meals, turning, ambulation, and hydration
• Help residents with personal hygiene and grooming
• Observe residents and report any health concerns to the supervising nurse
• Document resident food and fluid intake
• Assist with resident feeding and nutritional supplements
• Make beds and maintain clean, tidy resident living areas
• Transport residents within the facility
• Assist nurses and other staff members as needed
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident and facility information
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• Current and valid CNA certification
• Physical strength and stamina
• First aid and CPR certifications
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with the care team
• Strong attention to detail
• Problem-solving ability and adaptability
• In-depth understanding of patient care policies and regulations
• Familiarity with symptoms and signs of improvement for various medical conditions
