The Gardens Health and Rehab, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Daytona Beach, Florida, is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. You will assist in creating a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for residents in a modern, comfortable, and secure facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care including grooming, bathing, dressing, and oral care daily and as needed
- Change bed linen and maintain grooming supplies in resident rooms regularly
- Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics
- Record resident vital signs, weights, measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other assigned information
- Turn and position residents as necessary
- Observe residents carefully and report changes in condition to the Charge Nurse
- Participate in collecting data for MDS completion and plan of care development
- Provide adequate hydration to residents at regular intervals according to individual needs
- Prepare residents for meals and transport to the dining room, ensuring food trays are accessible and assistance is provided as needed
- Maintain accurate records of food intake and output
- Monitor proper ventilation, temperature, light, and noise control
- Take temperature, pulse, respiration rate, and blood pressure as directed
- Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs
- Assist in orientation and training of other staff as requested
Required Qualifications
- Current Nursing Assistant certification from the state of Florida
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills
- Highest level of professionalism with ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and work well within a team environment
- Customer service orientation with ability to work well under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
- Current or active CPR certification
- At least one year of skilled nursing experience
