The opportunity
Job Description
The Gardens at Country is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care to residents at our Swansea, Massachusetts facility. In this role, you will support residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being while working collaboratively with our healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist residents with meals, snacks, and hydration, ensuring their dietary needs are met
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing staff
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, enhancing their overall care experience
Required Qualifications
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Massachusetts
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
