Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Telemetry (8W)

Centinela Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the Telemetry unit. In this role, you will provide basic nursing care and assist acute rehabilitation patients with activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. You will help maintain a safe patient environment and support the clinical team in delivering quality care.

Clinical Setting

Centinela Hospital Medical Center is a 362-bed acute-care hospital in Inglewood, California, serving the Los Angeles area for over 100 years. The facility is ranked in the top 5% nationally for quality and patient safety and has received straight 'A's for hospital safety from The Leapfrog Group (2018-2024). The hospital offers 24-hour STEMI-certified emergency services, primary stroke center designation, orthopedic care, advanced cardiac services, critical care, and inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living
• Provide basic nursing care to acute rehabilitation patients
• Maintain a safe patient environment
• Work under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge

Required Qualifications

• Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant certificate
• Current BCLS (ARC or AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current status
• Previous experience in an acute care hospital, physician's office, or skilled nursing facility
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Completion of Violence in the Workplace prevention training within 90 days from date of hire

Compensation and Benefits

The current compensation range for this role is $25.70 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors including skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
