Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA

This position provides essential support in the care of geriatric residents in a long-term care setting. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will assist residents with daily living activities, personal care, and medical equipment operation while monitoring their physical and mental status.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ambulation, eating, bathing, dressing, and other activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Operate and assist with medical equipment, including geri-chairs, wheelchairs, and oxygen regulators
• Monitor residents' physical and mental status and take vital signs
• Manage specimens and maintain cleanliness and sanitation of resident areas
• Change bedding and handle linens and medical supplies
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff, documenting and responding to requests and concerns
• Support nursing staff with medical procedures and post-surgical care while following universal precautions
• Participate in training and multi-disciplinary meetings for patient care planning and skill development
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Current CNA license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in geriatric or long-term care settings
