We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care in a long-term care setting. You will work under the direction of the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator to maintain the highest quality of resident care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all assigned duties in accordance with facility policies, procedures, nursing care protocols, and safety regulations
  • Make resident rounds at the beginning of each shift and every two hours thereafter to administer quality nursing care
  • Verify resident identification before administering care or serving food to ensure appropriate care is provided to the correct resident
  • Report missing ID bands to the admission coordinator immediately
  • Make beds and clean bedside and overbed tables
  • Ensure water pitchers are cleaned, filled with fresh drinking water, and within resident reach
  • Perform other related duties as directed by nursing leadership

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a nursing assistant certification program or hold a current CNA license
  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a certified nursing assistant or clinical experience while enrolled in a nursing assistant certification class
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to work tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
  • Willingness to work harmoniously with other staff members
  • Good general health and demonstrated emotional stability
  • Ability to relate to and work effectively with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes hostile individuals
