Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Smith County Health and Rehab is a 128-bed long-term care facility in the Cumberland River Valley seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the day shift. You will provide direct resident care in a supportive team environment dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes and meaningful connections with residents.

Smith County Health and Rehab is a long-term care facility serving residents requiring rehabilitation and ongoing care support.

Responsibilities

• Attend to individual resident needs including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating
• Take and record patient vital signs
• Lift, move, and transport residents using proper body mechanics
• Recognize and report changes in resident conditions to nursing management
• Ask appropriate clarifying questions when situations require additional information
• Communicate effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors
• Report abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff
• Assist the nurse with various duties as directed

Required Qualifications

• Current state CNA certification
• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a long-term care setting is highly preferred
