Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care in a skilled nursing facility. This part-time position works days from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and involves assisting residents with activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, LPN/LVN, or Director of Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Take and record vital signs
- Measure and record height, weight, and fluid intake/output
- Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and report such changes to a supervisor
- Assist residents with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living
- Transfer, position, and turn residents
- Provide skin care to residents
- Contribute to the resident's assessment and the plan of care
- Provide nursing rehabilitation and restorative nursing services
- Follow the schedule of resident's needs set out by supervisor
- Provide emotional and social support to residents
- Promote and protect resident rights, assist residents in making informed decisions, treat residents with dignity and respect, protect resident's personal belongings, report suspected abuse or neglect, avoid the need for physical restraints in accordance with current professional standards, and support independent expression, choice, and decision-making consistent with applicable law and regulation
- Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns
- Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of residents
- Respect residents' confidentiality
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- One or more years of clinical or nursing experience
- CNA licensure depending on state requirements and regulations
- Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond to emergency situations
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Schedule
- Part-time, Days: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
