Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care in a skilled nursing facility. In this full-time position working days from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, you will work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), LPN/LVN, or Director of Nursing to support residents' health, comfort, and independence.
Responsibilities
- Take and record vital signs
- Measure and record height, weight, and fluid intake/output
- Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and report such changes to a supervisor
- Assist residents with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and activities of daily living
- Transfer, position, and turn residents
- Provide skin care to residents
- Contribute to the resident's assessment and plan of care
- Provide nursing rehabilitation and restorative nursing services
- Follow the schedule of resident needs set out by supervisor
- Provide emotional and social support to residents
- Promote and protect resident rights, assist residents in making informed decisions, treat residents with dignity and respect, protect resident personal belongings, report suspected abuse or neglect, and support independent expression, choice, and decision-making consistent with applicable law and regulation
- Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns
- Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of residents
- Respect residents' confidentiality
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- One or more years of clinical or nursing experience
- CNA licensure depending on state requirements and regulations
- Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond to emergency situations
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills

- Days shift: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
