Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Sapphire Health Services is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct care and support to residents in our Portland, Oregon facility. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed nursing staff to assist residents with activities of daily living, promote their independence and well-being, and contribute to a warm and welcoming environment.

Clinical Setting

This position is located at 11325 NE Weidler St., Portland, OR 97220. Sapphire Health Services specializes in providing comprehensive care and living solutions for seniors and individuals requiring specialized support.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding, according to individual care plans and preferences
• Assist residents with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices as needed
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and other relevant information, reporting any changes or concerns to licensed nursing staff
• Respond promptly to residents' call lights and requests for assistance, demonstrating compassion, patience, and empathy in all interactions
• Assist with the implementation of therapeutic and recreational activities designed to enhance residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote continuity of care and meet the individual needs and preferences of residents
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering meaningful relationships and promoting socialization and engagement
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of the facility
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License in the State of Oregon
• Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and assisting residents with mobility
• Must be able to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods
• Ability to pass a background check
• Patient-centered approach to resident care

Schedule and Shifts

Full-time and part-time positions are available. Shifts include day, evening, night, and on-call options. Eight-hour shifts are offered.

Compensation and Benefits

Full-time employees receive a $1,600 sign-on bonus.
