Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Part Time

Covenant Skilled Nursing & Rehab at Wellspring is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate resident care and support daily living activities in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. This is a part-time position working 12-hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

As a CNA, you will be a trusted member of the care team, building meaningful relationships with residents and their families while supporting their independence, comfort, and dignity. You will work within a Universal Worker model, meaning your responsibilities extend beyond direct care to include creating a welcoming environment through various support services.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, dining, and mobility
• Protect resident dignity and independence while providing personal care support
• Develop meaningful relationships with residents and families, learning their preferences, routines, and goals
• Observe residents closely and communicate important changes or observations to the nursing team
• Answer call lights promptly and respond to resident requests
• Assist residents with appointments and activities
• Support resident comfort and safety throughout the day
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry services, and meal support to maintain a clean and welcoming environment
• Participate in resident admissions and transitions, welcoming new residents and families
• Contribute to a positive resident experience through attentiveness and compassionate care

Clinical Setting

This position is located at Covenant Skilled Nursing & Rehab at Wellspring, a transitional care center operated by Wellspring Lutheran Services in partnership with Covenant HealthCare.

Required Qualifications

• Current Michigan Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, or the ability to obtain certification within four months of hire
• Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and team members

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous caregiving or related experience

Schedule

• Part-time, 12-hour day shifts
• 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Every third weekend required
• Every third holiday required
• Self-scheduling available

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly rate: $19.40 - $20.38
