Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Part Time

Diablo Valley Post Acute, a 5-Star Medicare-rated skilled nursing and post-acute care facility with 200 beds, is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for part-time positions. In this role, you will provide direct resident care, assist with activities of daily living, and work collaboratively with the nursing and clinical team to support resident comfort, safety, and independence.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a skilled nursing and post-acute care environment recognized for quality care and positive resident outcomes. The facility employs an experienced clinical team and values ongoing staff development and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care while promoting residents' dignity, comfort, safety, and independence
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and meals
• Follow individualized care plans and perform assigned nursing-related duties under the direction of licensed nursing staff
• Observe residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the nursing team
• Accurately document care provided and maintain required records
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and other mobility needs
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support resident care goals

Required Qualifications

• Current, active California CNA certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable and patient-focused approach to care
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Commitment to providing excellent resident care

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous skilled nursing or healthcare experience
• Newly certified CNAs are encouraged to apply

Schedule

• Part-time position with flexible scheduling

Compensation and Benefits

• $21.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience
